Project Mutts for St. Andrew's Cross

Almost every U.S. citizen is a mutt; that means very few of us can trace our ancestry as being 100% anything. That's not a bad thing health wise, but it also means our heritage is watered down. Still, here in the Southeast, most of us can claim quite a bit of Celtic lineage.

This blog recently ran a story concerning a local gentleman who thought the St. Andrew's cross was racist. The article produced a great number of comments; here's a thought from a regular blogger:

If the Alabama flag is racist, doesn't that mean the United Kingdom and all of the Commonwealth countries that incorporate the Union Jack in their flags are also racist? Jamaica's flag also has it.

We did recently read that a St. Andrew's cross placed near the hearth will keep witches from flying down the chimney. Does Nancy Pelosi know?
