What Does a Child Predator Look Like?

Update: While the Alabama Secretary of State lists Shivan's corporation as the owner of a Russellville package store, he no longer has a financial interest in that store. He does work at Mike's Liquors which is owned by his family.

He moved Muscle Shoals in 2020 from New Jersey. He married in December 2023. While his bride attends UNA, he manages a store..and spends time on his computer.

Shivam P. Patel will be 25* in February, but we won't have to worry about the entrepreneur spending his birthday in jail on sex charges. He can afford a good lawyer. Several business names have been bandied about for Patel, but we can be certain he owns two corporations: SAIRAM1122 and Vignaharta.

Facebook posts depict travel and fun, but it seems that all that and his lovely new wife just weren't enough for Shivam. At least that's what the Huntsville Police vice squad says. Authorities say he agreed to pay for sexual acts with minors and traveled to designated locations in Huntsville to commit these crimes.

Patel's official charges are: 

Two counts of first-degree human trafficking

Two counts of traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act

Two counts of electronic solicitation of a child

Of course, we haven't heard Shivam's side of the story. It had better be good.
