When They're Smart, but Dishonest

 

It may take a lot, but the public usually becomes fed up with dishonest and untrustworthy "public servants." We've had one reader ask what  defines someone of that nature. Some people should be very afraid:

1. Dishonesty in representing themselves (lying about qualifications) or others (disparaging others' triumphs).

2. Manipulation of others or events.

3. Feeling better than others just on general principle.

4. The need to win at all costs.

5. Using blackmail to obtain goals.

We're sure more could be added to that list, but this gives a general idea of the kind of person we do NOT need in local government. Who knows, perhaps some will start to clean house this week? (Hey, it's October, feel the fear!)
