If you read the list of local parole hearings in today's TimesDaily, you didn't see the name Gerald Winston Surratt Jr. Was this an oversight? Has Surratt committed a serious new infraction that struck him off the list? Or does the Lauderdale County maintenance man have the local clout that he claims?

According to the parole board's website, Surratt's parole hearing is still scheduled for Thursday. If you wish to have input into his case, there's still time to contact the board members using the information in the above article.

Remember, should Surratt make parole, he will be returning to the Shoals. It's not a comforting thought.
