Any Personnel Changes at Rogersville Police on Monday?

For the past ten days or so, we've been fielding numerous questions about Rogersville Police and Lauderdale County Schools. Obviously, some things are not public at this time, and that causes speculation to ramp up.

The current rumor is that the police officer involved in all this was officially terminated on Monday. Was he? We don't have any specifics to say that he wasn't, but the municipal government was closed on Monday in order to give employees a five day weekend. 

We sincerely doubt that the mayor came into his office just to fire one officer. That's our opinion, and we may certainly be wrong. 

We'll be posting an update from the Lauderdale school board as soon as it's available tomorrow. Apologies to readers outside Lauderdale who are perhaps less than interested in the shenanigans in the county north of the river.

Also, apologies to Concerned Citizen 101 who has sent us quite a bit of info on problems at UNA. We will be getting that up shortly.
