Special Report: LCSO Site Hacked




Anon Ghost, a hacker group that has shut down government sites for at least two months, has hit the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office. The worldwide group reportedly hits sites related to controversial government entities. AG tweeted at approximately 6:00 p.m. CST that it has hacked both the Lauderdale Sheriff's site and the web page of American Legion Post 11.


A private source has indicated the Lauderdale Sheriff's site was chosen due to reports from the Alabama Ethics Commission. The commission met February 6th and took depositions from several LCSO employees. It's been reported that Chief Deputy Jr. Witt was fined and reprimanded as a result of the inquiry.
