Brent Woodall Wins Eagle Forum Straw Poll

From April 20th:

Candidate for Public Service Commission Place 1 Brent Woodall announced today that he won the straw poll conducted at the Eagle Forum River Region Candidate Fair held in Wetumpka last evening. Woodall said,

“I am particularly happy to have won this straw poll because it was conducted in a setting in which all of my competitors for this seat were present and the attendees had the opportunity to personally speak with each of us before casting their vote. I was glad that I was able to talk with so many from the River Region and let them know about the hidden tax scam at the Public Service Commission and the real effect it has on the lives of so many people in Alabama. It is also very rewarding to have won this straw poll because it was taken at an event held by Eagle Forum, one of the leaders of the conservative movement since its founding by Phyllis Schlafly in 1972. The results of the poll demonstrate that Alabamians recognize the need to elect conservatives at all levels of government and that I am the conservative Alabama needs as its Public Service Commission Place 1 commissioner. The fact that the incumbent, a career politician who has held the seat far too long, failed to win this poll speaks volumes about the lack of confidence voters have in him. I ask all Republicans to vote for a true conservative and elect me as the Public Service Commission Place 1 commissioner on May 24.”

Woodall is a lifelong Republican who has served on the Morgan County Republican Executive Committe and the Elmore County Republican Executive Committee. He also chaired the Morgan County Young Republicans and was the State Treasurer of the Young Republican Federation of Alabama. In 2016, he was honored to have served as a delegate for President Donald Trump at the National Republican Convention in Cleveland, OH.
