Nursing Home Rapist Back in Jail

 

The smiling man you see in the above photo is a convicted and admitted rapist. In fact, he's a special kind of rapist who attacked an incapacitated male patient in Mitchell Hollingsworth Rehab in 2017. Zachariah Lee Reeves was working in the medical facility as a Certified Nursing Assistant when he was caught in the act of sodomizing his 68 year-old victim.

Reeves, who now lives on Marion Avenue in Tuscumbia, took a plea deal in which he admitted to Attempted Sodomy. Charges of Sodomy and Elder Abuse were dropped, and the portly CNA was allowed to serve 18 actual months in the state prison system and complete five years probation.

Since Reeves' release in May 2018, he was arrested for an unknown violation in February 2022, but returned to probation shortly thereafter. Today, he was arrested on still another probation violation and is currently residing in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.

Reeves' victim is now deceased, leaving behind a family who still hurts every day. In fact, the hurt they feel is amplified every time Reeves commits another criminal act. Isn't it time for Zachariah Reeves to be returned to prison to serve the remainder of his all too short punishment?

He Raped a Man Who Couldn't Walk!

The neanderthal pictured above is Zachariah Lee Reeves. At one time he worked in some minor capacity at the Walmart Market in Florence. Very few there liked him, with good reason. Just a personal opinion, but hitting on male employees in the dark recesses of the stockroom isn't too PC.

We're not sure why Reeves' employment ended at Walmart, but he was somehow able to obtain a job as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing & Rehab. In November 2017, another CNA entered the room of a 68 year-old man who was physically impaired. There she found Reeves straddling the patient as he sodomized him. The witness stated that Reeves begged her to tell no one - he would never do it again. 

The witness did report it. Reeves was indicted on charges of First Degree Sodomy, Second Degree Sodomy, and Elder Abuse. The second sodomy charge was due to the patient being forced to perform oral sex on Reeves. This patient also received an injury to his hand while attempting to push his 190# attacker away.

Nevertheless, the Lauderdale District Attorney's Office offered Reeves a plea deal. He would do 18 months in prison, then be on probation for 60 months. Convicted in November 2018, Reeves would complete his prison time in May 2019. He registered as a sex offender and proceeded to move to Vina. (What did Vina ever do to deserve him?)

On Saturday, Reeves was arrested in Lauderdale County for a "probation violation." As of this time, the county is providing no further details. Depending on the severity of the infraction, the now 26 year-old Reeves could be held for a few days and then released on probation again. Let's hope that's not the case.  If anyone ever deserved to serve the remaining 8.5 years of his sentence, it's Reeves.

Perhaps most of you have heard the comment on forgiveness, "God Will, but I Won't." That's a sad commentary; however, there is a difference between forgiveness and turning a blind eye. Psychologists tell us individuals with harmful sexual perversions can't be cured; they can be only slowed down. (By harmful, we mean an act in which an innocent person is hurt, not simply asking your significant other to dye his or her legs puce.) So a rapist is always a rapist at heart whether he acts on it or not.

This is 21 year-old rapist Zachariah Lee Reeves:

We're not even bothering to throw in the word alleged since both his victim and another Mitchell-Hollingsworth employee are testifying against him. We do have some other words for Reeves:

Scrumbag, waste of oxygen, total low-life, dregs of humanity, and gypsy Iranian vivisectionist. 

If we left anything out, we plead Christmas season exhaustion.

Speaking of words, we received some criticism for allowing a certain word in a FB comment yesterday. We did warn the poster that word was usually unacceptable. We've seen two comments referring to election fraud in yesterday's Senate race. Alabama's protocols for voting are very stringent. If there is ever fraud, it's in the computer programs running the voting machines. Can they be hacked? That we don't know. We do know that the state says it's doing everything to prevent it. How would that work? 500 votes for Doe and 1,000 votes for Smith become 1,000 votes for Doe and 500 votes for Smith. Box totals don't change, and no one's the wiser.

So, no, dead people can't vote because the state health department sends the proper authorities information that the person has died. No, you can't just come down here and register the day before election, plus you need proof of residence.

Could you use the ID of an active voter whom you favored? That's possible, but please tell us how easy that would be...
