Would that also mean if you steal the cool million trust fund from the little old lady, can you be forgiven and still keep it? We await answers from our readers.Shoalandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06516518190020271127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6105864577540212454.post-80625610340629929952014-06-18T14:20:27.499-05:002014-06-18T14:20:27.499-05:00Just for the sake of fairness...or argument...divo...Just for the sake of fairness...or argument...divorce is not the unpardonable sin, and even someone who has remarried several times can still be forgiven, and can still be a Christian. Once the sin is forgiven, it's forgiven, under the blood, we like to say.

Now...does God's forgiveness make such a person a good sheriff candidate? Not at all. Like you said, at best, he doesn't make good choices.

I know my idea of forgiveness in such a situation is not popular with certain denominations...I am not trying to convince anyone. I let the Bible interpret the Bible, and let them work out their own salvation.

On a side note: I still say Augie Hendershot is a perfect name for a southern sheriff. lolz

My vote, however, will go to Rick Singleton. A Leader. Someone who LEADS.

Someone who LEADS.
Follower: Someone who FOLLOWS.

Those two go hand in hand.

Remember the story "The Pied Piper"?
There is a clear moral to the story which is also a continuing theme throughout the play: ‘The Importance of Keeping Promises’. The consequence of breaking a promise is illustrated in the Pied Piper’s response to the townsfolk refusing to pay the agreed fee for freeing the town of its rat plague. He charms the children away in the same way that he charms the rats away from the town. This is both an ironic and serious consequence but still a lesson of telling the truth and not misleading others.Truth is stranger than fictionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12440521552130048859noreply@blogger.com
